“If we get 2 million people walking into Washington, D.C., on the same day, that will draw some attention. And at this point, I believe that’s possible.”
About 40 people have committed to walk 3,600 miles from San Francisco to the Capitol to draw attention to the damage being done to sacred places and Earth, Simmons said.
The Longest Walk 2 is certainly getting its share of publicity here. And just imagine the marchers going through Russell Means's Republic of Lakotah. Double the publicity, double the fun!

That is, if they even can find it! Isn't it somewhere near the South Orkney Islands?

POSTSCRIPTUM: since Natives and part-Natives number just under 2 millions, a 2 million-man march would be somewhat difficult to muster. But maybe the Pequots could annex Detroit and Atlantic City and then that 'tribe' could pull it off all by themselves...

Your facts are out of date. I believe there were 2.1 million Natives and another 2 million part-Natives in the 2000 Census.
More to the point, many of the dozens of marchers are non-Natives. When they increase their numbers to 2 million, I expect that will continue.
Here's a recent population estimate:

4.5 million: As of July 1, 2005, the estimated population of American Indians and Alaska Natives, including those of more than one race. They made up 1.5% of the total population.

Wow, dog sleds in the '2 Million Man March!' Will the National Park Service count the Samoyeds and Siberians and Malamutes, as well?
