It's also valid to say it's a relatively recent tradition, brought in from the outside, with no basis in your ancestral culture.

In other words, some traditions are more traditional than others. I wouldn't necessarily keep a culture's old traditions, so the new traditions definitely can go.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01478763837213733775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29769707.post-75175008625453165392010-07-08T21:47:48.353-07:002010-07-08T21:47:48.353-07:00"Of course, everyone considers frybread tradi..."Of course, everyone considers frybread traditional."

Not all traditions have to be ancient. It's a flour (strike 1) tortilla covered in sugar (strike 2) and fried in lard or, more often with the "healthy" fats the BIA provides, partially hydrogenated oil (strike 3). (Remember when margarine was healthy? LOL) In short, Hostess done Indian-style. Of course, everyone considers frybread traditional.

Really it doesn't take much to make healthy food, but that assumes you have an income in the first place.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
