Without much fanfare, Disney has built quite a record as a maker of Native-themed films. Its roster includes the original Peter Pan, Pocahontas, Pocahontas 2, The Emperor's New Groove, Jungle 2 Jungle, Brother Bear, Hidalgo, Kronk's New Groove, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and the upcoming Apocalypto. I can't say the quality of these movies is exceptional, but the quantity is. Kudos to Disney for at least trying.
You might think there was no connection between Indians and another Disney movie, Atlantis: The Lost Empire. If so, you'd be wrong. To find out what the connection is, go to Indigenous Atlantis.
