Tribe's book wins awardA children’s book that was a joint project between the Passamaquoddy Tribe and a Maine conservation organization has received a national award for promoting environmental awareness among young people.
The book, "Wind Bird: Gift of the Mist," which was published by the Maine Lakes Conservancy Institute, was awarded a Gold Medal Moonbeam Award last weekend at the 2007 Children’s Humanities Festival in Chicago.
The book took the top prize in the "Kids for Saving Earth" category.Comment: As you may recall, I
