Cookbook counters tragedy

Red Lake students to launch cookbookWhen the Red Lake High School shootings brought tragedy to the community three years ago, many individuals and organizations sought ways to help the students and their families.

The members of General Mills’ American Indian Council, a group of employees with American Indian heritage from tribes around the country, donated $20,000 for a student project. The GMAIC members traveled to Red Lake to work with the students, and the result is “The Taste of Red Lake Cookbook.”
