Another award for Mile Post 398

Benally wins best actor for 'Mile Post' roleIt's been over two years since "Mile Post 398" was released on DVD and the film continues to generate buzz.

Most recently, actor Beau Benally won the best actor award for his portrayal of the main character, Cloyd Begay, at the Talkingstick Film Festival held last weekend in Santa Fe.

"Finally, some recognition," Benally chuckled in a telephone interview. "Cloyd gets some recognition."

Benally's best-actor nod is the latest critical honor for the film, which was named the Native American Voices/Best Narrative Feature at the 2007 Fargo Film Festival and won best screenplay and best drama at the 2007 Tulalip Film Festival.
