Lewis and Clark symphony and documentary

Film chronicles Blackfeet poet's collaboration with composerThe story of the Lewis and Clark expedition is incomplete when it doesn't include the contributions of, and the devastating aftermath felt by, Native Americans, according to Blackfeet poet Darrell Kipp.

This is why Kipp teamed up with composer Rob Kapilow to pen a symphony giving voice in song to the expedition from a Native perspective. Their enlightening collaboration is the subject of a one-hour documentary that will premiere Saturday at the Cuts Wood School in Browning.
