The so-called theme involves clothing ensembles with fringe, beads, headbands, jewelry, pouches--i.e., the usual. Also note the set with teepees and Monument Valley shapes in the background.
Unless you're Russell Bates, you'll be bored with this video after 30 seconds. You can safely skip the rest of it without missing anything.
Given that they're wearing open shirts and shorts, these men look more like beach bums than fashion models. I don't know if this is supposed to be a fashion show or a cattle call for "hot" men.

ReplyDeleteIn actual point of fact, Russell Bates ignored the purported video for one reason: Native crafts and jewelry and ceramic art and even paintings are imitated so widely that actual Native artists are losing over a third of their potential market to 'knockoffs.' Witness that there currently are five "Southwest Jewelry" infomercials running on cable TV in the wee hours of most mornings. Since writerfella's sister and brother-in-law and family are silversmiths and craft artists, he sooner would watch Army training films about trenchfoot and the horrors of VD. Few know that a Caucasian science fiction fan took credit for writerfella's early SF stories (1970-72) because his name also was Russell Bates. That fan had it all blow up in his face when FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION in 1973 identified writer Russell Bates as Kiowan Native American. Last we all heard, the dude was laughed out of town all the way to Canada...
