Native Americans Against Obama For Good Reasons
Not only has Obama failed to support Native American Indian issues, Obama has not supported the Native Hawaiian Government Recognition Bill before the U.S. Senate during his first term in office as a U.S. Senator. Obama should be front-and-center of this issue as he proudly claims Hawaii as his home state.
S.310: U.S. Senate Native Hawaiian Government Recognition Bill:
Title: A bill to express the policy of the United States regarding the United States relationship with Native Hawaiians and to provide a process for the recognition by the United States of the Native Hawaiian governing entity.
Obama failed to address "Real" Native American issues during the Democratic Primaries.
Obama over all, did not win the Native American Vote in the primaries across the country.
NATIVE AMERICAN EDUCTION SYSTEM: A NATIONAL SICK JOKE!
NATIVE AMERICAN POVERTY RATE: A NATIONAL SICK JOKE!
OBAMA HAS NO PLAN FOR "CHANGE" FOR NATIVE AMERICANS
A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS A VOTE FOR NO REAL CHANGE!
NATIVE AMERICANS AGAINST OBAMA FOR GOOD REASONS
I trashed Graham's posting in Indianz.com's forum. Here's what I said:
Graham's posting consists mainly of a series of "Obama made no commitment" statements. My response:
1) Candidates are wise not to make too many commitments, especially when they haven't won the nomination or the election yet.
2) A lack of a formal "commitment" doesn't mean a lack of a policy on an issue.
3) McCain hasn't made a commitment on these issues either. He doesn't have sound policy proposals on most of them.
Obama on Hawaiian recognition
Graham is flatly wrong on the issue of Hawaiian recognition. Here are the facts:
Democratic convention plans Native Hawaiian recognition
As for this statement:
If Graham is implying that most Indians oppose Obama and the Democratic agenda and prefer McCain and the Bush agenda, he's wrong again.
Finally, some information for Mike Graham about where Obama stands on the issues:

ReplyDeleteRob, you are correct. The man is a shouter, not a touter. He is a ranter, not a planter. BUT -- O'Bama isn't Native and, if elected, why therefore would he give a damn about Natives? The Black agenda (and it does exist) will rise to the surface, and it includes NO ONE BUT BLACKS...

Do you think Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Lyndon B. Johnson, Jimmy Carter, or Bill Clinton cared about people of other races? How about Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Mandela, or the Dalai Lama? Does anyone care about anyone else?
ReplyDeleteWhy should Obama give a damn about Natives? Because unlike you, he isn't a racist. He also isn't a self-serving egotist who thinks mainly about his next paycheck.
Like many multiracial people, including Indians, Obama has lived in two (or more) worlds. Growing up, he saw a multicultural milieu in Hawaii, Indonesia, and elsewhere. He understands the diverse and complex issues facing America and the world.
So the "black agenda" exists? Then you should have no problem citing and quoting it from a reputable source. Go ahead, mouth, and show it to us.
ReplyDeleteAfter you do that, prove that Obama buys into this agenda. Then explain how he'll be able to implement it over the wishes of 500 or so non-black representatives in Congress. Good luck with your answers...you'll need it.
Here's a clue for you: Blacks have no single agenda, Obama is half-white, and he's a seasoned politician who wants to be reelected. He won't promote anything except what (he believes) is good for all Americans.
By the way, readers, Russ also thinks Obama is a Muslim. Unless you're as ignorant as he is, you know that's false. You can judge Russ's political "intelligence" by how he stupidly swallows the most obvious lie about Obama.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, Russ has nothing to say about McCain's "white agenda." You know: tax cuts for the rich, oil drilling for the oil companies, and wars for the military-industrial complex. For Indians and other folks, McCain offers mortgage defaults as a housing "plan," emergency rooms as a health-care "plan," and privatizing Social Security as a retirement "plan."
Did Russ vote for Nader and LaDuke because she's an Indian? Will he vote for McCain because he loves white men who "love" Indians? Who knows? All we can be sure of is that Russ won't vote for a black candidate because he (Russ) is prejudiced.

ReplyDeleteNader knew he would be an interloper in the US electoral process. Note the articles and subsequent other publications he wrote about his 'Presidential bid.' That LaDuke ostensibly was 'Native' truly was irrevelant, as her value to him as a female outweighed all other such considerations...
