Media Rights adding Canadian show

'4Real' heads to CW's Sunday nightCanadian series "4Real," a feel-good, celebrity-driven half-hour exec produced by Joaquin Phoenix, has been added to Media Rights Capital's Sunday night sked on the CW.

Skein "4Real" follows celebs as they travel around the globe to meet with real-life leaders creating change in their communities. Besides Phoenix, stars participating in the show include Cameron Diaz, who traveled to Peru; Casey Affleck, who went to the Pawnee Nation reservation in Oklahoma; Eva Mendes, who shot her episode in Vancouver; and Flea, of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who flew to Haiti.
The first episode:

Cameron Diaz Goes to PeruIn Peru, host Sol Guy takes the one and only Cameron Diaz high into the Andes mountains to meet medicine man and community leader Puma Singona. Puma, an indigenous Peruvian Quechua, who is focused on keeping his people's ancient knowledge and wisdom alive. When he was just 6 years old, under the guidance of his grandfather, Puma began his training as a traditional medicine man. By 15, he was traveling to international conferences to speak about Quechua traditions and culture. Today, at 27, he sits on his community's council of elders, runs a cultural organization that focuses on teaching tradition to youth, and is internationally recognized for his powerful healing and teachings. Puma introduces Sol and Cameron to his community, takes them high into the mountains for a winter solstice ceremony, and shows them one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu. This is 4REAL Peru (#101).Comment:  For more on the subject, see Native Documentaries and News.
