Headline writer on the warpath

In March, a magazine editor contacted my pal Victor with the following query:[C]an you let me know if the title is okay or if my writer is being insensitive/offensive---he's an older gentleman and not always PC. :)

Circle the Wagons, the Indians are on the warpath!

Talk about applying pressure: "Two Dogs" Bozsum, leader of the Mohegan Tribe, has warned Connecticut legislators he will withhold the state's 25% share of slots revenue if they impose a smoking ban on the Mohegan Sun Casino Resort.
Victor's reply: "What a stupid racist headline. Can you get any more cliché?"

My reply to Victor when he told me about this: "I don't know whether it's good that she asked or bad that she needed to ask. Both, I guess."
