Blackstone gets full-season order

Canadian 'Blackstone' drama fills out cast

Drama about power and politics on a native Indian reserve

Steven Cree Molison, Andrea Menard, Bernard Starlight and Ray Thunderchild have jumped on board "Blackstone," a Canadian drama about power and politics on a native Indian reserve from Prairie Dog Film + Television.

The indie series from creators Ron E. Scott and Gil Cardinal recently received a full-season order of eight episodes from local channels Showcase and APTN.

The top six ensemble actors from the earlier pilot, Carmen Moore, Eric Schweig, Nathaniel Arcand, Michelle Thrush, Gordon Tootoosis and Roseanne Supernault, will return to the first season summer shoot in and around Edmonton, Alberta.
