History tree is holiday fixture at Prairie Star
By Beth Wischmeyer
The tree features dozens of handmade ornaments by more than 100 Native American artists who send in their holiday fare all year long to be displayed on the tree.
The tree's purpose, Boyd said, is to bring together the history and culture of all types of Native American tribes and celebrate the holiday season. It has been a fixture of the store for about 14 years.
