Here Comes Sayn-Day

Exhibit brings Kiowa tales to life

By Keith Vasquez“He’s a liar and a cheat. When he’s coming along with his raggedy appearance and hungry expression, look out: he’s always tricking someone into giving him what he wants.”

That description is included in the book “Sayn-Day Was Coming Along.”

Those words are also a part of an exhibit, “Here Comes Sayn-Day,” that has found a home in the Kiowa Museum in Carnegie, Okla.

The piece was a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., but will be kept in Carnegie from now on.
