Angela Babby's glass mosaics

See 'voluminous detail' in Montana artist's enameled glass mosaics

By Jay KirschenmannMeet the Billings, Mont., artist during her show opening, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at the Washington Pavilion's Visual Art Center. If you miss her, the "Wolakota" show is up through June 5.

The title is a Lakota word that refers to a spiritual way of life. It also is the word that most closely corresponds to the word "art."

Babby's family originally is from Pine Ridge, where she is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
Comment:  The work below does seem a nice combination of art, nature, and "spirit."
