“Old Stories, New Voices,” a Native American playwriting festival, puts its focus on plays developed right here on the Flathead Indian Reservation.
By bending the rules just a hair, “Old Stories, New Voices” gains itself an artistic director of considerable repute: William S. Yellow Robe Jr., a member of the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation, is on hand to direct several of the week’s performance readings.
The noted actor, author, director, playwright and poet will step aside one night for one of his own works, “Thieves,” to be directed by Linda Grinde.
