Initial reactions to Redskins poll

Some initial reactions to the Washington Post's Redskins poll claiming nine of 10 Natives don't mind the racial slur. First, official responses from the contending parties:

“Change the Mascot” campaign calls poll results “hardly surprising”

Dan Snyder “gratified” by Native American support for “Redskins”

NFL’s reluctance to wade into Redskins name debate bolstered by poll’s findings

Another bogus poll?

Next, some rapid-response think pieces--especially on the poll's dubious relevance:

WaPo’s new Redsk*ns survey: Faulty data and missing the point

Washington Post poll doesn't change fact that 'Redskins' is still offensive

In complex Redskins name debate, poll should give both sides pause
