2nd annual First Nations Fashion Show

Aboriginal fashion getting a second lookAboriginal designers and models will be putting their best foot forward this weekend at the second annual First Nations Fashion Show.

Chelsa Reil, owner of Glacsy Model Management Canada, hosted the fashion show last year during First Nations University of Canada's annual powwow because highlighting the talent of aboriginal models and designers needs to be done.
And:This year four designers--Danita Strawberry from Edmonton, Timothy Lewis from Saskatoon, Disa Tootoosis from North Battleford and local designer Chantel Dustyhorn--will be showcasing their work.

She said what makes aboriginal designers unique is that each of the designers has retained a connection to their culture, which can be seen in their clothing, but with a modern twist.
