Casino joke on Jimmy Fallon

On Tuesday's edition of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (airdate: 9/22/09), Fallow told a joke about Indians:The US government is giving American Indian tribes $224 million of stimulus money to help fight crime on reservations. The tribes said that they're grateful for the money, and plan to bet it all on black.

That's what they said. "Thank you so much. This is so nice."
Comment:  It's always good for Indians to get exposure. But this joke is so lame that it pretty much cancels out the benefit.

Talk-show hosts and other comedians should forgo the stupid casino jokes. They're so predictable that we can write some fill-in-the-blank formulas for them:

"Indians [verb phrase] [some honor, celebration, or holiday]. The Indians celebrated by going to their casino."

or

"Indians [verb phrase] [anything to do with money]. The Indians spent their money at [or on] a casino."

For instance: "Did you hear this? An American Indian won the Nobel Prize in medicine for inventing a cure for cancer. Yup. That's great. Unfortunately, he lost it on a busted flush in his casino." Ha ha ha ha ha!
