Signs placed on Trail of Death

Trail of Death now marked

By Brandon SteinertA notorious path known as the Trail of Death has been officially recognized by the states of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas.

Signs have been placed all over the four states to highlight the regional historic pathway.

The trail, which marks the route of Potawatomi tribes forced to leave Indiana, begins in Rochester, Ind., and meanders through Illinois and Missouri to end in eastern Kansas.Comment:  For more on the subject, see Caravan on the Trail of Death.
