The tribal leaders and savvy gaming executives behind Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun have succeeded by looking at the bigger pictureIt’s difficult to grasp the numbers for Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun, the two largest casinos in the world—640,000 square feet of gaming floors; 13,400 slot machines and 690 table games; gaming revenue of $2.3 billion a year; 75,000 visitors a day.

It’s also difficult to grasp that tribes, not companies, run these casinos—tribes that have been around centuries longer than any U.S. corporation.
