Misty the Mohawk smuggler

New smuggling film set in the wild borderlandsPlattsburgh's environs have the "right feel" for the expanded version of director Courtney Hunt's "Frozen River."

The 2005 short depicted illegal-alien smuggling Mohawk style on a U.S.-Canada border-straddling reservation.

Thrown together by desperate circumstances, Ray (Melissa Leo), a white woman, and Lila (Misty Upham), a Mohawk woman, forge an uneasy alliance and risk their lives for fast money made running human cargo over the frozen St. Lawrence River.
