This is what you get if you search Google for "Newspaper Rock." This blog used to be way down the list. Now it's No. 2 (with a bullet). It's higher than the Wikipedia entry, which is almost always the first or second posting for anything. Quite an accomplishment if I do say so myself.

Which means, Rob, like in the car rental world, you're going to have to try harder. Geez, lucky for you writerfella posts maybe 16% of the time. That way, he either has no effect on such a statistic or... Well, do the math.

Fortunately, I do try harder. Even though you criticize me for it.
You post only 16% of the time? I'd say it's more like 50% of the time.
In any case, I believe Google indexes every comment we post. That means that whenever we talk about something, we're making the item more relevant to Google. And therefore increasing its ranking.
For instance, I haven't posted much about your Star Trek episode "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth." But because you keep mentioning it, Blue Corn Comics (The Indian-Star Trek Connection) and Newspaper Rock are in the top 50 hits when you Google it. In other words, your repetitiveness has boosted my rankings.
So thanks, and keep up the good work. All your blather has helped make Blue Corn Comics one of the most popular sites for Indian subjects.
