In the high-school musical show
Glee, Jane Lynch plays the rotten coach Sue Sylvester. In this week's episode, titled
Throwdown (airdate: 10/14/09), Sue explains her affinity for minorities on her cable TV show:
Sometimes people ask me, "Sue, how come you're so sensitive to minorities?" Well, I'll tell you why. Because I know firsthand how hard it is to struggle as a minority in America today. I'm one-sixteenth Comanche Indian.
In fact, I like minorities so much, I'm thinking of moving to California to become one.Given that Sue is a plain-vanilla Anglo with no sensitivity to anyone, this is meant to be a joke. Of course, Sue Sylvester or Jane Lynch could be 1/16 Comanche. There's no way to tell.
Glee had a great pilot episode, but it's settled down to become merely good. Jane Lynch is the best thing about the show; it comes alive whenever she's on-screen. I wouldn't say
Glee is must-see TV, but it's worth checking out.

Patrick G. Barkman's response on Facebook:
Jane Lynch is definitely tall enough to be Comanche/Kiowa. Nearly every one I've met is six foot at the least.
