Right?
Maybe not. According to a report at MovieHole.net, Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, Twilight‘s production companies, are looking to extend the Twilight story beyond the original four books written by Stephenie Meyer.
MovieHole’s Clint Morris cited an unidentified source who said that the studio was looking at a variety of options: a “TV show or film spin-off, merely set in the same world as the one in the movies but not featuring the main trio, is being seriously considered.” The source added that the werewolves of the Quileute Tribe, known as “the Wolfpack,” are “one area of interest.”
Aside from the fact that the upcoming Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2 will complete the story as told in the books, there would be another, more-relevant challenge to continuing the main Twilight storyline: Getting all the film’s big stars together again. So zooming in on just one part of the story makes sense. Whether a Wolfpack-focused movie or TV show would include Taylor Lautner among the Wolfpack of the Quileute rez (played on screen by Native actors Chaske Spencer, Kiowa Gordon, Alex Meraz and Bronson Pelletier) would remain to be seen.
