Salishan Catering serves Native cuisine

Caterer specializes in First Nations cuisineWhat's special about your business? The catering service provides aboriginal dishes and is one of the few such catering businesses in B.C.

Greatest challenges? Catering a First Nations meal for 900 people at the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver under a tent. This was in August 2009, just before the Olympics, so it was an important event for Salishan Catering. It gave us a chance for us to showcase our professionalism in food services. It has been a challenge being a aboriginal caterer, because this is a new area for many potential clients who are used to North American cuisine.
