NAMMYs on national TV

NAMMYs to Air November 16The highly esteemed Native American Music Awards will be featured in a nationally televised broadcast special this Friday, November 16th, 2007 at 8:00PM EST on MHz Worldview. Taped in front of a live audience, this two hour broadcast program will feature performances and special guest appearances by leading nominated and award-winning artists from this year’s Ninth Annual Native American Music Awards show which was originally held on October 6, 2007 at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls, New York.

The Ninth Annual Native American Music Awards features some of today’s most impressive musical talent along with spectacular and dynamic performances by; Brule’ & AIRO (Group of the Year), Tonemah (Best Folk Recording), Corn Bred (Best Blues Recording) Jana (Best Pop Recording), Gary Small & the Coyote Bros (Best Rock Recording), Pipestone (Record of the Year), Nightshield with Maniac the Siouxpernatural (Best Rap Recording), Iroquois Dancers, Digging Roots, Jan Michael Looking Wolf with Tim Yett and George Noriega, plus Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Joanne Shenandoah & Bill Miller. Special guest presenters include; Beth Wray Webb (Daughter of Link Wray), Keith Secola, Glenn Ahhaitty, Jennifer Kreisberg, Johnny Curtis, and Wayquay among others.
