Russ's stupidity about Johnny Depp

In the comments to Juliette Lewis Plays Indian, Kiowa writer Russell Bates made one of his typically stupid remarks about me:[Rob] hated Depp as one of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN (all three films) and he will hate him even more in the fourth PIRATES film now scheduled for the same time period. No, dummy, you're wrong as usual about what I said. I condemned the portrayal of Caribbean Indians in the second Pirates movie because it was stereotypical. I didn't say anything about Depp's performances in the three movies because his performances weren't a Native issue.

In fact, I've enjoyed Depp in several films--e.g., Nick of Time, Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I have nothing whatsoever against him. I didn't even blame him for taking the Tonto role. I blamed Disney for giving it to him.

For more on the subject, see The Best Indian Movies.

Better luck next time, loser. Alas, your brief hiatus from Newspaper Rock has done nothing to make you more intelligent. I was hoping you were getting treated for the onset of Alzheimer's, but apparently not.

P.S. Perhaps you thought the Indians in Dead Man's Chest were really Polynesians? You know, like you ignorantly claimed about Robinson Crusoe's Friday? If so, let's all laugh at your ignorance one more time.
