Walmart to distribute Shenandoah's album

Walmart inks distribution deal with Joanne Shenandoah for new album

By Shelley Bluejay PierceWalmart and internationally recognized Native American musician, humanitarian and scholar, Joanne Shenandoah, reached an agreement for distribution of her new album, “Lifegivers.” Set to begin sales today, Walmart carries Shenandoah’s latest album at Walmart stores covering 12 states in the USA.

“Walmart clearly sees the potential in Native American music and has opened their hearts to this art form. When people have a chance to hear the music, they love it! My music is consistent with Walmart’s commitment to enhancing lives and protecting Mother Earth for future generations,” explained Joanne Shenandoah about this distribution agreement.
Comment:  I don't know how often Walmart distributes Native albums, or if it ever does. I'm guessing it's rare, which makes this newsworthy. If it's common, never mind.
