"Reclaim the Peaks" from Indians

Chamber explains 'Reclaim the Peaks' campaignHave you seen "Reclaim the Peaks!" bumper sticker around northern Arizona? Many individuals are questioning its meaning. According to www.reclaimthepeaks.com, the phrase represents an initiative founded by the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and the Flagstaff Ski Club to inform the public about the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort and Coconino Forest's Upgrade Plan that includes the use of reclaimed wastewater to make artificial snow.

In addition to informing the public about these plans, the mission of Reclaim the Peaks (the Chamber and Ski Club) is to fundraise in order to provide financial assistance for the litigation costs supporting the use of reclaimed wastewater on the Peaks and, "to advocate for the reversal of the March 12, 2007 Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision on snowmaking at the Arizona Snowbowl."
