After reading DESPERADOES: BUFFALO DREAMS #2, my initial comments still apply. I'd say this series is still nothing special.
On the plus side, the artwork works better with the barren landscapes of the Northern Plains. The characters are believable and true to their times. There's a good bit about how the white man decimated the buffalo to destroy the Plains cultures.
On the minus side, there are basically no Indians in this issue. The desperadoes don't do anything interesting; they get into a brawl while a villain hunts them for revenge. In fact, they spend the whole issue traveling to the point where their mission begins. After two issues, they haven't done anything but arrive on the scene.
Conclusion: I doubt I'll get #3. These things cost money, people.
