Greeting from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the capitol of the Western Cherokee Nation.
I've been a subscriber of your newsletter for a while and find it invaluable in keeping up with this end of the comics scene as I attempt to explain to the University where I teach that we need to adopt comics as a teaching medium for those who may not even speak English as a second, or third language. So far, the course has been approved three times, and removed from the course offerings each time because of a "back to basics" business approach here. Ah, well...
A few quotes on the subject may help make the point:
"In a completely rational society, the best of us would aspire to be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something less, because passing civilization along from one generation to the next ought to be the highest honor and the highest responsibility anyone could have."
