Cherokee Nation offers tour package

Cherokee Nation and Hard Rock teams to offer tour package

By Christina Good VoiceThe Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa and Cherokee Nation are teaming to present a group tour package featuring overnight stays at the hotel and a guided tour of the tribe’s historic sites.

The tour package is designed to allow guests to experience Hard Rock entertainment and take in the history and culture of the CN, Travis Owens, CN Cultural Tourism senior project manager, said.

Cherokee Nation Entertainment manages both the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa and Cultural Tourism Department.

“It’s a very natural partnership to utilize each others’ resources to pull in bigger groups in the area to have a bigger economic impact,” Owens said. “They can stay longer. They can go experience the entertainment at the Hard Rock, and they can also experience the cultural aspects of what we offer on our tours.”

The tour package blends gaming and entertainment with history and cultural experiences. The tour includes:

  • A one- or two-night stay in the Hard Rock Hotel,
  • Complimentary breakfast at the Wild Potato Buffet located in the hotel,
  • Free $10 play per guest in the casino with a Cherokee Star Rewards Players Club card,
  • Choice of the four customized cultural tours,
  • Cultural storytelling and demonstrations,
  • Traditional hands-on activities, arts and crafts and,
  • Authentic Cherokee dining.
