2010 Quileute Days

Quileute Days a chance to see tribe's traditions

By Paige DickersonThe event will feature three days of stick games--a traditional betting game--bingo and poker.

The stick games will begin at 6 p.m. July 16 and 3 p.m. on July 17 and 18.

The games will run late into the night.

"Bingo, too, will go for many hours--in a way it is almost like the last man standing," Hart said.

Hart said that the tribe is also welcoming Twilight fans to learn more about the traditional culture.

A Jacob Black and Bella Swan look-alike contest will cater to the fans of the book.

Edward Cullen--the vampire hero of the books--isn't allowed on the reservation per the rules of the treaty laid out in the book.

A baseball tournament, horseshoe games, salmon bakes, street dance and more will ensure that fun is available for all, Hart said.
