Koyaanis-Scratchy in The Simpsons
Sunday's episode of The Simpsons (airdate: 3/21/10) featured another reference to the Hopi:
KoyaanisqatsiIn the Season 21 Simpsons episode Stealing First Base, Homer takes Bart to see an Itchy and Scratchy film called Koyaanis-Scratchy: Death Out of Balance, which parodies and is named after Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance. Comment: Last week gave us the Hopi Project in The Simpsons. Someone on the writing staff is paying a lot of attention to Hopi themes.
