Under the Cherokee Moon

‘Under the Cherokee Moon’ to begin 4th season June 4

By Will ChavezThe historical outdoor drama “Under the Cherokee Moon” will begin its fourth season on June 4 at the Cherokee Heritage Center.

The drama brings Cherokee history to life from the 1700s and 1800s. During the interactive experience, the audience steps back in time and becomes part of the show as they watch history unfold.

Playwright and director Laurette Willis said the drama has been given high marks for historical accuracy by Cherokee historians. She said more historical characters will be added to this year’s drama, which will run on Friday and Saturday nights with two acts each night.
