Nightwolf was also cheap in MK3 1.0; he could throw you, run to where you are before you recovered, and throw you again.
Oddly, the cartoon made him somewhat less stereotypical; while he had a pet wolf, he was the brain of the team. And in one episode, he's the only one with immunity to a plague.
