Northwest Passage is another classic film I watched in 2008. Alas, it's filled with classic stereotypes.
Some critics seem to think it's historically accurate, but I'd call it pro-Anglo American propaganda. As I wrote in my Indians in Northwest Passage review, "Absolutely authentic? Absolutely not."
Other than its racist take on Indians, though, it's a good movie. I'd say it's better than The Last of the Mohicans, a movie set in the same period. Rob's rating: 8.0 of 10.
