“If you look at the sociological history of societies that have failed, what are the commonalities?” Stephens asked. “One of those is that open homosexuality becomes accepted in the higher society, whether it’s in Greek times, the Romans or others, and here we are at that precipice again.”
Stevens didn’t have to look all the way to Europe to find an example of a society that crumbled as a result of open homosexuality. In fact, he didn’t even have to look outside the state. Here is famed historian Francis Parkman on the Illinois Indians, the tribe on whose ruins we have built our own civilization:
The Illinois were “addicted to practices which are sometimes supposed to be the result of a perverted civilization,” Parkman wrote in his seven-volume France and England in North America. “Young men enacting the part of women were frequently to be seen among them.”
The Sieur de Liette, a French explorer who met the Illinois in the late 17th century, wrote that “they have tapering legs which carry their bodies well, with a very haughty step, and as graceful as the best dancer.”
Not surprisingly, the Illinois were driven out of their native country by the Iroquois, who were less graceful dancers but had more weapons. Today, the tribe is remembered only for inspiring the laughable nickname of the University of Illinois’s sports teams, the “Fighting Illini.”
Are we about to become the second group of Illinoisans to lead ourselves to ruin through our addiction to practices which are the result of a perverted civilization? Rep. Stephens warned us. State Sen. James Meeks warned us. Now, only Gov. Pat Quinn can save us. Before he signs the civil unions bill, he should visit the Cahokia Mounds, to see the magnificent achievements of Illinois’s Indians, before they turned totally gay.
If Quinn signs the bill, we may end up going the way of the Illinois Indians. Not that there will be anything wrong with that.
The idea that gays have harmed any civilization is obviously ridiculous. As one counterexample, the Roman civilization lasted from the founding of the Roman kingdom in 753 BC to the fall of Constantinople in 1453 AD, arguably--about 2,200 years. That's ten times longer than the United States has existed. The US will be lucky to go that long without destroying itself via overpopulation, global warming, or economic collapse.
Incidentally, men who dress as women (transvestites) aren't the same as gays. Before Indians learned about Christian-style guilt, they tended to respect both kinds of people. Their tribes were decimated by disease, warfare, and other forms of conquest, not by having warriors too effeminate to fight.

Amazing how supposed heteros can bring up how being homosexual devastates a civilization when last I checked, everything wrong with this country seemed to come from heterosexuals, namely, divorce, rape, murder, racism, sexism, bogitry, adultry, pedophilia, domestic violence and violence in general, should I go on?
Where in American history did we see homosexuals as the cause for fear or threat, unless Superman, Batman, Santa or Jesus were all closet gays? And even then, they have had some pretty good PR people over the century(s).
Really can't add to the above comment.
Burt are you saying homosexuals are incapable of murder, racism, bigotry, pedophilia, domestic violence and violence in general?
Absolutely not Anonymous, are you saying gays are known for all those crimes?
Well, gays have a bad reputation for pedophilia, which is completely undeserved. (Most men who molest boys are "fixated", meaning they're exclusively attracted to children. The rest are practically all "regressed" heterosexuals. Men who molest girls and women who molest boys are practically all "regressed" heterosexuals.) I will say that if a gay guy marries his beard, he will probably cheat on her and, when he comes out, eventually divorce her.
In the "people's first impressions of rape" category, we have the following:
Female-on-female: Can we sell tickets?
Yes, that is how some of my white friends see rape.
I cannot speak for the gay community at large Amonymous, butI do have friends and relatives that are and what you refer to as older men on young boys is not gay, it is called "predatorial" sexuality and it can also be applied to older men on young girls as well.
It has been proven time and again that pedophilia and being gay are two different things. Surely you cannot be so dim to not see the difference.
A female teacher that has sex with her students might also qualify as a pedophile.
